In this Bali – 2 week itinerary, you will find out everything about the best places to visit in Bali, where to eat in Bali and where to stay in Bali.

how to move around in Bali

Bali is small, but the traffic is super chaotic. This means it takes time to get around. The best way to move around in Bali is by renting a scooter! Although, this did not went well for us … On the second day of our vacation my husband had an accident and after visiting a doctor and the local hospital, we had to take it easy for the rest of the vacation. One tip: people drive on the left side of the road on the island.

Bali – 2 week itinerary

First stop – Canggu

We started our trip in Canggu, an 1,5 hour drive from Denpassar airport. We stayed at The Bidadari Villas and Spa Umalas in a private villa for two nights. Known as surfers paradise and it’s digital nomad communities, Canggu has a great vibe to settle into Bali life. Also, you will definitely find the best vegan restaurants in Bali in Canggu. The only tough question will be in which Canggu restaurant you want to go for dinner. It’s a long list, believe me!

Best restaurants in Canggu

You will find the best coffee around in the Hungry Bird and ejoy a healthy lunch in Poké Poké. For the best sunsets, in one of the best beach bars in Bali, you need to go to The Lawn. Celebrating something special? Go for dinner in U look hot in Bikini. But try to book a reservation in advance to ensure you a spot. Room 4 dessert offers you the ultimate sweetness experience which you do not want to miss. Again, don’t forget to book a table online in advance.

Enjoy nature in Ubud

We continued our trip to Ubud where we stayed in another amazing Bali hotel, The Umari. There are many activities for the adventurous travellers in Bali:
– Saraswati Temple
– Tegallalang rice terraces
– Monkey Forest
– Uma Pakel Swing
– Ubud Organic Farmers Market

Nusa Islands

From Ubud we booked a driver to bring us to Padangbai where we took the boat to Nusa Ceningan. We had a lovely stay at The Ocean Sunset Villas Ceningan. Go out and try to find The secret beach. It is such a beautiful hidden restaurant where you can have a cocktail and eat some budget friendly freshly caught lobster! Looking for something more exciting? Go cliff jumping at the Blue Lagoon.

Gili islands

And in case Bali and the Nusa islands weren’t enough, you can unwind completely on Gili Air. It is the ultimate Bali’s paradise to simply do nothing at all besides eating fresh seafood and enjoying the most beautiful sunsets you ever saw! Gili Air is also great for diving and snorkeling.
